British team Helly Hansen UK like many teams have been racing to get to the start line. Ski Sharp has flown in from the Oman and has been busy with an iron placing race stickers on his gear, lets hope he is better racing than ironing as he made a hole in his Lycra legging. Friends and family have been roped in to help, sewing, preparing rations and even collecting kayaks from the North of England.Maps have been marked up and GPS set up. Now the worse is over as they head for the camping site outside Versailles to meet up with fellow teams, ready for their longest race, over 11,000 Kilometres.
